Adding Interaction to Your Character

How to add foliage interaction to your character (Please note that our system supports interaction with only one character)

If you constantly hear interaction sounds while walking on the level, even if no foliage is present, that means you have forgotten to use our DefaultEngine.ini see Migrating content to your project

  • Open your skeletal mesh, add socket to each foot bone and call them foot_r_Socket and foot_l_Socket accordingly

  • Open your gamemode blueprint, drag and drop BP_FoliageInteraction (You can find it in "Content/Defect/Blueprints/GlobalFoliageActor") component into components of your blueprint. Press Save and Compile.

You are all set. Now your character will interact with our foliage.
